
In the centre of the Southern Alps is the Serre Chevalier - Briançon ski domain. The resort offers 114 slopes, 250km of marked pistes: 15 black, 42 red, 32 blue and 25 green. Briançon has pistes reserved for new winter sports labelled by the French Snowboard Association, called “Eagle Free”, that welcomes freeriders and freestylers. Nordic skiing is very popular at Serre Chevalier-Briançon, so get ready to rent your cross country skis because the resort has a ski domain of 35km, with 8 loops traced for alternative skiing and skating. Briançon also offers hiking and snowshoeing on 20km of trails. The diversity of the pistes of the Serre Chevalier-Briançon domain enables everyone to do what they want in all liberty. The Briançon ski resort organised the first snowboard race in the history of the sport, and also hosted the French Snowboard Championships.
